Department Focus: The Kitchen at Folsom Street

This month we’d like to showcase the kitchen in the new San Francisco Woodlands Market. Managed by Ronald Gacayan (profiled in this month’s newsletter), this department is one of the busiest in our new store, and occupies a large portion of its floor space.

Our prepared food section is the centerpiece of our San Francisco store at 203 Folsom Street, and we’re proud to offer a huge variety of options for all appetites. With many residents and businesses located nearby in SoMa, word is spreading that Woodlands is a go-to spot for great meals. The lunch rush has been growing as a result, and our amazing employees are stepping up to the challenge.

With a staff of nine working hard to prepare all the food each day, the kitchen at Woodlands offers everything from prepared foods at the hot bar and pre-mixed salads at the salad bar to made-to-order sandwiches, burritos, and poke and pre-made dinners to go.

Fewer people realize that the kitchen also offers breakfast in the morning. Come by before 11 am to start your day with a frittata or a breakfast burrito!

Some of the most popular prepared foods coming out of our kitchen include:

2. Chicken Enchiladas
3. Salmon and Lentils
4. Ricotta Beef Lasagna
