After that initial bottle of Chianti over twenty years ago, Erskine enjoys wine from all over the world from whites, reds and roses with a special fondness for the restrained, yet voluptuous, Rhone Valley reds of France, Austrian Rieslings with their steely minerality, and of course the snappy bubbles of Champagne. While these might be his personal favorites, he’s always looking for a something new and still maintains a passion and curiosity into what is behind every label. He greatly enjoys sharing his interest with everyone, so if you find yourself at our Tiburon location look him up and he will be more than happy to make a recommendation for that special occasion or just something simple yet tasty for Tuesday burger night.

Central Wine Buyer
Erskine Gallant
Erskine Gallant discovered his life’s calling late in life after visiting Chianti and discovering his “Ah-hah” wine. After driving late in the night from Nice to Tuscany, he found waiting for him at the agriturismo at bottle of Villa Buonasera Chianti Classico Riserva. This was a nice step-up from sipping his parent’s Lancers and Mateus back in the 1980’s. After dabbling in the tech and the healthcare industry, he landed a position at a local wine shop near home in Massachusetts and thus began the wonderful journey into the world of wine. Starting out as a stock person, he advanced quickly to wine buyer as well as educator in conducting monthly seminars focusing on all the intricacies of wine and wine regions. He eventually relocated to northern California following a visit to Napa Valley.
