Last month our staff helped finish preparing Bacich School’s garden in Kentfield for students to plant vegetables. Students now have a hands-on area to learn about all the intricacies that go with growing their own food and being environmentally friendly. A school garden is a great educator for kids since some kids don’t have access to a gardening area based on their living situation. It allows them to establish a connection with nature at an early age. A garden creates opportunity to work together as a team and take on new responsibilities. School gardens are a fun way to teach kids important lessons outside the classroom. We will revisit Bacich School’s garden and watch the progress made in their cultivation journey.
