Since it’s founding in 1986, Woodlands Market has contributed millions of dollars in cash and in-kind donations to help engage, support, and improve the communities where its customers and employees work and live. Through the years, Woodlands has primarily invested in programs that support the founding family’s philanthropic traditions and passion for youth education.
One of Woodlands’ community initiatives this year is to better focus it’s giving on its core philanthropic mission. We all know how drastically state education budgets have been cut; Woodlands wants to help ensure our children have the educational opportunities they deserve.
Because the demand for non-profit support is well in excess of Woodlands’ giving capacity, we are looking for partnerships that serve the communities surrounding our markets that can help us meet at least one of following objectives:
• Support of educational initiatives impacting children in grades K-8
• Youth education programs that promote healthy eating habits (K-8)
• Youth education programs that teach earth-friendly food cultivation & sustainability (K-8)
If your organization fits the bill, here’s the information we need from you:
• All requests for donations or sponsorship should be sent in writing. The more details about your organization, project, need and timeline, the better.
• Please include a contact name, phone number, mailing and e-mail addresses, and tax exemption number.
Typical support may include cash or in-kind (food, gift cards); first come, first served. In keeping with our high service standards, we seek reciprocal relationships where we can be great business partners.
