Memorial Day weekend is here! And whatever way you choose to spend your days off, you’re sure to need some good meals while you’re out and about.
Right now, we’re just starting to roll out our summer menu, which will feature picnic-friendly items such as pre-packed fried chicken, rib tips, barbecue pig “wings”, and more. Combined with our classic potato and macaroni salad staples, these new dishes should fuel your weekend in the sun and give it an extra kick.
We’re also working on introducing a number of healthy new dishes to our stores that are great for vegan, paleo, raw, and gluten-free diets. We’re especially excited about a raw cauliflower tabbouleh and a Pad Thai with “noodles” made from zucchini, kohlrabi, and beets. Other new deli items include a multi-grain deli salad with wild and black rice, two different kinds of quinoa, barley, and wheat berries.
As always, our fresh, house-made sandwiches are always a good decision when you’re hungry and on-the-go. Customers love our signature Ricky’s Rockin’ Chicken Chipotle Sandwich, made with chipotle chicken, chipotle aioli, pepper jack cheese, bacon, ranch dressing, lettuce, and tomato.
Be on the lookout for some of our new Southwestern dishes that feature the delicious Hatch chile, which is grown only in New Mexico. We’ve got spicy hatch chile and beef barbacoa tacos, spicy hatch chile and cheese enchiladas, and Ancho chile citrus chicken with spicy hatch chile corn salsa. Compliment these with our fresh guacamole and salsa, and you should be set for the long weekend!
